A rare and stunning example of Danish Mid-Century Modern design, this vintage 1950s Niels Vodder NV54 teak credenza is an exquisite piece crafted by master cabinetmaker Niels Vodder and originally imported by the prestigious Illums Bolighus in Copenhagen, Denmark. This exceptional piece is highly sought after by collectors and rarely comes to market.

This particular credenza comes from a single-family owner in Long Island, New York. The couple acquired it during their honeymoon in Copenhagen in 1959, adding rich provenance and authenticity to its history.

Crafted from rich solid teak, the credenza features elegant sculptural fins and masterful joinery that echo the spirit of Finn Juhl’s iconic designs, although this model is not officially attributed to him. The detailed craftsmanship includes stunning tambour doors that glide smoothly to reveal meticulously crafted removable trays on the left and an adjustable shelf on the right.
