Design Details

The USM Haller System
The USM Haller modular system was born from a collaboration between Swiss architect Fritz Haller and USM founder Paul Schaerer. Tasked with designing a new factory building for USM in Münsingen, Switzerland, they developed a flexible construction system based on a modular grid of steel tubes and patented ball connectors. The system proved so successful that it was adapted for furniture – and the USM Haller collection was born in 1963.

4×3 Shelving Configuration
This 4×3 configuration (4 units wide, 3 units high) provides generous open shelving space – perfect for displaying books, collectibles, records, or decorative objects.

White Finish with Chrome Frame
The classic white powder-coated steel panels and polished chrome-plated tubular frame create a clean, timeless aesthetic that works effortlessly in any interior – from mid-century modern to contemporary, minimalist to eclectic.

Pristine Original Condition
All panels are in pristine, original condition – a remarkable state of preservation for a 1960s piece. The white finish is clean and uniform, and the chrome frame retains its brilliant luster.

Made in Switzerland
Crafted in Switzerland, this USM Haller shelving unit reflects the exceptional manufacturing standards associated with Swiss precision and quality.

Modular & Customizable
The beauty of the USM Haller system lies in its modular flexibility. This unit can be modified to fit your exact needs — additional doors, shelves, or panels can be added.
